Howard Stern isn't into 'Girls'.
The King of All Media panned the critically acclaimed HBO series during his Monday morning satellite radio broadcast after watching it on his wife's recommendation.
“It’s a little fat girl who kind of looks like Jonah Hill and she keeps taking her clothes off and it kind of feels like a rape. She seems—it’s like—I don’t want to see that.”
“She thinks she’s brave," explained Stern Show producer Gary Dell'Abate.
“Brave?" said Stern. "I’m brave! I’m lookin’ at her!”
Stern said it's not just Dunham's nudity that's turning him off.
“I learned that this little fat chick writes the show and directs the show and that makes sense to me because she’s such a camera hog that the other characters barely are on. My opinion, if I was a producer on that, I’d say: ‘Honey, you’re a little too close to the project. You need to allow the other characters to breathe a little and let us get invested in them.”
Stern swears he's not against girl shows in general, citing his love of "Sex and the City" and cheesy girl movies. He says he's been watching it with his wife, but checked out after episode two.
He then reluctantly offered Dunham a classic Stern style compliment:
“Good for her. It’s hard for little fat chicks to get anything going.”
