Howard Stern has a lot in common with pit bulls. Both are pegged with notorious reputations for bad, bad behavior--and both can be very gentle and sweet once you get to know them.
Maybe that’s why Howard Stern decided to use a minute of his high-priced air time to get the word out on a lost pit bull found by a friend of his wife, model and proud animal nut “Beth O.” The pit bull is a young female dog found running loose around Central Park several weeks ago. The wayward dog had a harness and leash attached, but no identification tag.
Not only did Howard Stern mentioned the wayward pitty on-air, he made her picture the first thing visitors to www.HowardStern.com see. Of course, the slideshow that starts with a shot of the sweet pup is then quickly followed by revolting pictures of overweight male Howard Stern Show staff members and photo-shopped pictures of Baba Booey in a beaver suit, but not before the ultra-sweet animal-in-need listing. Oh Howard. This is why the ladies love you so!
The Howard Stern Show website describes the dog as “social and friendly.” Although HowardStern.com was hoping to find the original owner of the dog, the pit bull’s personal Stern Show page states that “no one seems to be looking for her.” If no one shows up to claim the doggie orphan, it’s possible Howard Stern will use his on-air influence to find her a home. Surely one of Howard Stern’s listeners can find room in their heart for this little wanderer?
Forget it High Pitch Eric. Not you.

Thank you so much for showing the softer side of Howard, that only a true listener would know. I truly adore his animal lover side.
