Howard Stern fans hack Dr. Laura Wikipedia page (screenshots)

Howard Stern fans, who were blocked in their attempts to prank call Dr. Laura Schlessinger's Sirius XM show Wednesday afternoon, took to the web to release their frustrations by hacking her Wikipedia page multiple times.

Howard Stern Show fans flooded Dr. Laura's phone lines Tuesday, logging more than 35 prank phone calls to the conservative talk show host. A massive online movement to extend the pranks into a second day was stymied by new call screening procedures which kept chants of "Baba Booey! Baba Booey!" off the Dr. Laura airwaves, at least for the day.

Not to be deterred, Stern fans hacked Dr. Laura's Wikipedia page at least twice on Wednesday. First, Schlessinger's picture was replaced with a photo of Howard Stern Show Wack Packer Beetlejuice. After Dr. Laura's real photo was restored, an HSS prankster changed the caption beneath it to read "See You Next Tuesday".

Stern was banned from playing clips of Tuesday's prank calls, but read aloud from the Howard Stern Examiner's transcripts of the incident.

i was just wondering what constituted "hacking" a wikipedia page since, as you point out, anyone can do it. i guess some people dont understand the basic idea behind wikipedia and assume that if there is an article there it must be because someone is paying for it and if it is altered it must be because someone other than the original author made changes without authorization.
