Howard Stern enraged by Sirius XM Studio 54 party (photos)

Howard Stern kicked off Wednesday morning's satellite radio broadcast by ripping into Sirius XM management for Tuesday night's 'Studio 54: One Night Only' party.

“I can’t imagine a bigger waste of time…I think a certain gentleman around here wanted to have his own bar mitzvah and got the company to throw it for him. And, of course, I get resentful because it’s my money they use. Me, they can’t pay. They should ask me about everything around here since they’re doing it on my dime.”

The "certain gentleman" Stern is referring to may or may not be Sirius XM CEO Mel Karmazin. Stern and Karmazin, who used to be pals, are now embroiled in an all out legal war. Stern claims that he's owed more than $75 million in unpaid stock bonuses for subscribers he's brought in since joining the company in 2006. In spite of Stern's widely publicized rift with the company, the King of All Media says both he and his wife Beth Ostrosky Stern were repeatedly asked to attend the event.

“Everything seems to hinge on us. We got a f***ing frantic message from a certain someone saying: ‘You’ve got to get me celebrities’…They said to me ‘Are you coming?’ I said, 'No'. They said: ‘Well, what about your wife?’ I said: ‘What do you think? Do you think I’m going to recommend to her to go?’”

While Stern ridiculed the event as a "colossal waste of time," there were a handful of A-list celebrities on the scene. Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones was spotted at Studio 54 Tuesday night. Other musical talents on the scene included Marky Ramone, Lance Bass and B-52s frontman Fred Schneider.

There were a handful of Howard Stern Show related personalities at the elitist club revival as well. Model and Private Parts star Carol Alt was in attendance at the club revival. Recent HSS guests Kevin Bacon and repeat guest Donald Trump were also on the scene.

Oh, and of course, there was Jackie Martling.
