Howard Stern calls Joe Wilson's behavior 'insane' (video)
Representative Joe Wilson (R) of South Carolina is drawing widespread criticism for his outburst during President Barack Obama's national address. Even free speech champion Howard Stern thinks Joe Wilson went to far this time. On Thursday morning's broadcast of The Howard Stern Show, Howard Stern called Joe Wilson's behavior "insane".
Howard Stern played the clip of President Obama's attempt to dispel the rumor that his plan for national health care includes covering illegal aliens, during which Representative Joe Wilson can be heard screaming "YOU LIE!" in from the floor of the Congress.
"They're disrespecting this cat all over the place," said Howard Stern of the Republicans in opposition to Obama's plan. Howard Stern, who has never been known for keeping quiet, said that Joe Wilson has every right to debate the health care policies in an appropriate forum, but felt that Wilson's interruption was an outrageous example of bad manners.
"Was he DRUNK?" asked Howard Stern Show co-host Robin Quivers after hearing the Joe Wilson clip. "It's like the country has lost its mind."

Joe Wilson - what were you thinking? Or are you so filled with vitriol that you can't suspend your criticism for a short period? If you can’t monitor your behaviour when you are representing your state, one has to question whether you are the right person to represent SC.
Howard didn't say a thing when Democrats like Harry Reid called Bush a liar and a loser. What a phony.
And Howard Stern talking about bad manners? Has Stern lost his mind? Hey Howard, liberal talk radio has always failed. Maybe that's why your audience used to be 20 million and is now down to a few million on satellite. Just retire already. You barely work now as it is.
