Howard Stern: Beth and I almost had a baby last year

Howard Stern revealed Tuesday that he and wife Beth Ostrosky Stern were seriously considering having a baby in 2012.

Stern disclosed the personal information during a new segment called "The Staff Revelation Game" in which the cast had to guess which of their co-workers had admitted to what. Howard Stern told his cast:

"Last year my wife and I were considering having a baby, but we ended up changing our minds...We came close. We sat down. We were really talking about it. I opened my heart up to the idea, and my wife was feeling like maybe she wanted to have a kid."

While the admission may have been a revelation to Howard Stern Show listeners, Beth Ostrosky Stern revealed the same thing during her appearance on The View in 2012. She said she had opened up the discussion of a potential Prince or Princess of All Media with Howard, but the couple had decided against it:

"our lives are so full and so blissful not having children right now that I’m not thinking about it today," said Beth. "But that could change next week because we really thought about it last summer, so it’s changing. So, it’s a possibility but right now it’s no.” Read the full story here

Beth turned 40 in July 2012 and has repeatedly said that she is content loving and caring for her animal "children". The Stern currently share their Manhattan Penthouse with four adopted cats from the North Shore Animal League shelter.

Other "revelations" from Howard Stern Show staffers on Tuesday's show included Steve Brandano admitting he once pretended to be mentally handicapped to get backstage at a concert, and Jon Leiberman revealing that in college he locked one girlfriend in a coat closet so he could have sex with his other girlfriend.
