Howard Stern says producers of Jerry Seinfeld's new reality show The Marriage Ref have approached him about being a judge on the show.

"Jerry Seinfeld's people called me a couple of times yesterday to be a judge on The Marriage Ref," Howard Stern told his listeners Tuesday. "I declined, because right now I'm the hottest judge in America. I mean, everyone's clamoring for my services."

Stern was facetiously referring recent rumors that he could replace Simon Cowell as a judge on next season's American Idol.

"Plus," added Stern interrupting himself with a hearty burp. "I don't not that I'm an expert on (burp) on marriage."

Jerry Seinfeld's The Marriage Ref takes a look at specific points of contention between arguing spouses. The couple's problem is presented to the celebrity panel members who deliver snarky commentary and then take sides. The premiere episode of The Marriage Ref, which aired after the Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony on Sunday night, featured commentary from Jerry Seinfeld, Alec Baldwin and friend of the Howard Stern Show Kelly Ripa.

Upcoming panelists for The Marriage Ref include Larry David and Madonna. Howard Stern stated he thinks Madonna is ill suited to the task: "There's someone you want to listen to-a complete maniac. Madonna-who's probably mentally ill at best. I mean, she appears to be."

Do you believe everything that jerk Howard Stern says? How do you know that NBC contacted him? I doubt it.
