The number of people that is required to have even the smallest of local races be a success is more than you would guess. The logistics of banana pieces, cookies, bottles of water, etc., require more than just the talents of one person. The people who provide the most assistance are all volunteers. That’s right, they have sacrificed part or most of their day to ensure that we runners have a great experience while running races.
Have you ever wondered why you have to tear the bottom of your bib off and hand it to someone? Have you ever wondered what really goes on with the laptops and people diligently counting bibs and registrations? If you have then the Howard County Striders have offered you the chance to learn more races than you ever wanted to by attending their volunteer training session. You will learn about registrations, scoring, managing a finish line and so much more by attending the training session this Sunday, October 25th from 1pm to 4pm at 6345 Woodside Court, Suite 100 (Pinnacle Advisory Group) in Columbia.
If you are interested in attending or have any questions please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
