Security is a buzz word these days. Capitalizing on the demand for workers skilled in network security, Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) and Howard Community College (HCC) have forged a partnership: the Early College Program. The Early College Program in Network Security will launch for the first time in the fall of 2014.
There will be an event to highlight the new Early College Program in Network Security on April 28 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Howard Community College, Duncan Hall, Room 100, 10901 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia, MD. The purpose of the event is to celebrate those who have enrolled, as well as show potential candidates the value of entering this program. The event is open to all 9th and 10th grade students interested in the field of Network Security. Students in this program start the Early College Program in Network Security while in high school, and can earn an Associates degree after one year at Howard Community College.
RSVP for the Early College Program in Network Security event by calling the Applications and Research Lab at 410-313-6998 by April 25.
