Please read about this situation regarding Dallas (Obanion) Williams here. He is six years old and facing felony assault charges stemming from a physical restraint incident in his public school.

If you want to help Dallas, you can write the court a letter in support as a “Friend of the Court.” The legal term is “amici curiae” and needs to be included in the statement. If you need advice on writing a statement, please feel free to message Emily Malabey.

The following people should receive the letter of support:
Lynn Ewing, III, Prosecutor
* P: 417.667.4862
* F: 417.448.2529
* E: prosecutor@vernoncountymo.org

Doug Shupe, Recorder
* P: 417.448.2520
* F: 417.448.2524
* E: recorder@vernoncountymo.org

If issuing your letter of support via email, please cc everyone in one email. Again, please make sure emails and faxed statements include the legal term “amici curiae.”
