Chris Sprague’s introduction, “I'm a best-selling author who focuses on working with people to help them understand how they are wired. Understanding how you are wired is key to reducing frustration, increasing performance and increasing happiness. I combine inspiration, motivation, empowerment and sound leadership principles to take people from where they are to where they want to be.
What sets me apart is I don't blow smoke and tell people they can be anything they want to be. Yes, they can do anything they want and be anything they want as long as it's within their wiring. Let's face it, no use swimming upstream without a paddle when the shore is right next to you and you can get out of the boat and figure out a better way - right?
For too long now, the personal growth industry has turned people into sheep and made millions on making the sheep believe that one day they can walk on two legs and become the shepherd. I'm here to help people understand that they don't have to be sheep and that, once they know how they are wired and move down that path, they will be a success and will be happy.
Part of the reason I am so passionate about this topic is that, because I didn't understanding my own wiring, I took a 15 year detour away from my mission and passion and had to experience a great deal of pain and frustration until I finally figured out that I wasn't doing what I was meant to do and what my purpose on the earth was. Now, I want to do whatever I can to help others avoid the same pain I went through.”
Chris shared, “I must admit, I never pictured myself as a writer. Prior to publishing my first book, every time I sat down and started to write, I would write a paragraph and then think to myself, ‘Ok, that’s all I have to say’ and that’s where things would stop. As odd as this feels to say, I never made the connection that the best writing is storytelling and what I do as a keynote speaker and as The International Transformation and Empowerment Ambassador is storytelling. Hence, I have been practicing writing for over 35 years now – and didn’t even know it!”
