Everyone has something interesting to say about the way their life has unraveled. Each person has a unique story to tell, and we should all be capable of weaving a fabulous tale for others to enjoy. However, some of us are just not expert wordsmiths. We know what we want to say, but we just cannot make our words fly off the page. Well now there is help. Local Author Joan Fry is hosting a Memoir workshop at Barnes and Noble in Palmdale on Friday February 5th-the 19th. The event is a reoccurring group meeting in which Joan Fry uses her own knowledge and works to help budding writers nurture their own writing skills. Joan Fry will meet with writers and focus on various aspects of memoir writing using her own memoir How to Cook a Tapir as a guideline. Join Joan Fry in the month of February to hone your writing skills and sharpen your storytelling abilities, you may just end up with a bestseller!
