Sequins are no longer just for party dresses and have made the transition to everyday wear. Step inside your nearest mall and you are certain to find sequins in almost every store. From the office to the weekend, a sequined piece offers a great way to add a little glamour to your wardrobe. Whether you’re looking to add a touch with a scarf or hat, or going all out with a sequined mini dress; there are endless options.

Don’t leave those fancy pieces in you closet during the day, bring them out and give them a little sun. On the weekend wear a sequined tank under a leather bomber jacket or pair an oversized sequined sweater with distressed skinny jeans. Add a great pair of black booties and prepare to turn heads. It’s rocker chic that is effortless, yet unbelievably cool.

If you are uneasy about full on sequins, ease into the look with just an accent. Look for a slouchy sequined beanie, grab a handbag with sequined detailing, or throw on a pair of sequined ballet flats.

Like the look, but dislike the shine? There are great pieces this season made with matte sequins. The effect is still there, but it is not quite as fancy. Load on some long chains for an edgy vibe.

A sequined tank is unexpected under a cardigan or v-neck sweater. For an office appropriate look, stick to neutral colors like white sequins on a white tank, or black sequins on a black tank; leave the bright colors for a night out with the girls.

Dying to get more wear out of your holiday minidress? Throw a boyfriend blazer over the top and add an oversized handbag and a pair of slouchy boots. Sequins make a bold statement, the rest of your outfit shouldn’t compete for attention.
