I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked man, says the Lord, but rather in his conversion that he may live.
A working mom's role is very complicated. It entails a lot of challenges and sacrifices. But if all working mom would offer all their struggles and sufferings to
God as an offering of joy and love, how great would be the number of souls that would be converted as a prize for those sacrifices.
It is such a waste that mothers endure it anyway, why can't we merely utter "Lord, I offer this suffering for your greater glory and honor. Do with it as you please"? This is all it takes for God to be able to use our works of hands into His works of Hands -- for the conversion of sinners, reparation of sins, salvation of souls, reunion of all Christians, peace in our hearts, our homes, and the world. He only needs our small mustard seed of faith and works for Him to make the dough rise. But we need to offer it to Him -- willingly, lovingly and willfully. This is the doctrine of St Therese -- the little missionary who touched the whole world from her small cell in the monastery of Carmel. This is the secret to effective prayer -- prayer that can move mountains, prayer that can convert sinners.
