How to remain lovebirds long after Valentine's Day?

When all the Valentine's Day chocolates are gone and the red roses fade, how can you and your loved one remain lovebirds for a long time to come?

  • Respect your sweetheart's dreams and desires. When you are in a long-term relationship, you do not only admire your partner's eyes or body but accept them as a whole person, with their outlook on life, sense of self and future path of growth.
  • Share experiences to ensure that you have things to explore, enjoy, and talk about together. When you share experiences, you also create shared memories that you can come back to later on.
  • Break routines to bring about joy to daily life. The suggestion to go out on a date in the middle of the week or offering a flower for no apparent reason means you think and care about your loved one at all times, not just when the vacation time comes around.
  • Engage in conversations and discussions with your loved one so you can understand one another. The lack of honest communication often leads to unnecessary arguments.

  • Laugh and smile because this will dissipate sadness or shorten stressful days.
