How to reinvent yourself in four easy steps: Step 1

The new you
The new you

This article precedes the article that was posted here. Please read the first article before you read the current article.

Before this article begins, take a deep breath and say to yourself, “I am exactly where I need to be in this moment.” Think about that. The universe has a set of fixed laws, nothing is random, and therefore everything must happen for a reason. If you’re in a place in your life where you feel lost, stop and think, “What in this moment is causing me distress?” It could be finical issues, health issues, relationship issues or issues that are within the self.

Take a moment and ask yourself this question. Write down your answers.

Be honest with yourself. If you can’t be honest with yourself, there is no trust and there is to space to change for the better. Honestly think about everything that has, is and will happen in your life that causes you to evoke a negative emotion. This is a very difficult part of the process of reinventing yourself, however, it is vital.

Now that you have your list of stressors, accept them. Be completely present in this moment of acceptance. Author, Eckhart Tolle, would call this the power of now. One must stay in this moment of presence because the false self cannot exist here.

In this moment, accept the relativity of time, health, money, relationships and your body. Try your best to understand each subject. Words are meaningless. They’re just a fixed set of letters and sounds that attempt to convey a message. That’s it. They cannot describe the essence of anything. That’s why there is art, poetry, music and action. They convey a successful message that words seem to fail.

If you love someone you must understand that one day you may fall out of love or lose them. If you have material wealth, understand that it can fade and will never fill a void. The relativity of each subject is what makes them so special. If you had all the time in the world, you could never be in the moment.

Remember, you are exactly where you need to be in this moment. Why are you in this moment? What caused you to be here? What are you learning here? Write these questions and their answers down. Due to the fact that you are looking the scariest monster in the face, your false self, these series of questions may be difficult. Find a quiet place where you can be by yourself and be in the moment.

Life is often seen as a picture but in actuality it’s a puzzle. Each piece is important and necessary to see the bigger picture. You must look within to see change without.
