If you are a parent – homeschool or not – you have, no doubt, started to think about college and how you are going to pay for it. There are books, there are web-sites, and there are those who went before you and in these tough economic times, many of us may be contemplating how we are going to make this happen for our kids.

The Ledford Center on the campus of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in historic Wake Forest will be hosting a “How to Pay for College” seminar on Thursday, January 28 at 6:00 pm. Seating is limited and you can go to www.CutCollegeCosts.EventBrite.com to secure your seat. The cost for tickets is $35 per person and food and beverages will be served at this event.

So if you have ever asked yourself the following questions:
- How will we pay for college?
- How many years will we have to pay?
- How can we afford it?

Then this is a seminar for you! You will learn from higher education experts on cost cutting methods to help your family save money, learn about attributes that colleges are seeking in new students, strategies you can use during the college application process, tips for choosing a college and a major, making the most of the college experience and much, much more. This process of getting our kids in to college has changed drastically since most of us went through it and it is a relief to know that there is a way to learn about it – preferably before going through it!

There are thousands of colleges for your sons or daughters to choose from, and the task can be daunting. Don’t let the fear of college planning get you down; there is help to be found here locally. Be sure to reserve your seat today.
