How to make Snowman Soup

See also

Gathering the families together around the holidays is something that just about everyone looks forward to. But if you have lots of children coming over, entertaining them can sometimes be difficult. This year, how about gathering all the kids around the table and having them make Snowman Soup? It's great fun for them to make and then they can give it someone they love since we all know little kids can't really gift something on their own! If you prefer you can also make up some and have them handy as party favors for your guests also.

Snowman Soup:

Hot Chocolate Packets

Mini Marshmallows

Chocolate Kisses

Candy Canes

Cellophane Bags (the cone type are the best)

Card stock paper (cut into 4″x 6″ rectangles)

Snowman soup poem

Glitzy chenille stems or colorful ribbon

Place mini-marshmallows in small zipper storage bag, or wrap in plastic wrap.

Tuck hot chocolate packet into treat bag. Add marshmallows, chocolate kiss candies, and candy cane.

Glitzy chenille stems make pretty, decorative bag closures or colored ribbon. Curl stem ends around a finger or a wooden spoon to create a curly closure!

Add a tag with the Snowman Soup poem below.

Snowman Soup poem:

Was told you've been real good this year.
Always glad to hear it!
With freezing weather drawing near,
You'll need to warm the spirit.

So here's a little Snowman Soup
Complete with stirring stick.
Add hot water, sip it slow.
It's sure to do the trick!

You can print out the poem onto the card stock or hand print them out. Whatever works best for you!
