Internet marketing has a massive appeal to those with an entrepreneurial spirit. In recent years there has been a flood of writers coming online to share their passions with the world. This is commonly known as blogging, and just like anything else that gains a lot of attention everyone wants to make money from it. Every writer online wants to know how to make money from blogging, even those who have never blogged before want to know if it’s possible.
The fact is that you can earn a substantial living with blogging. Now, of course there are many things involved with this type of marketing. Make no mistake; blogging to earn money is marketing. So, if you want to jump in to blogging because you think it’s easier than traditional marketing, you are going to be disappointed. Now that we've covered that, let’s talk shop.
Recently a blogger by the name of Andrew Sullivan made over $330,000 in one day! Obviously this is a rare occasion and in fact Andrew set the record that day. It’s just proof that it can be done and in a big way.
It’s simple to do if you want to earn a passive income. First you just need to find something you’re passionate about. If you've been doing your research then you've probably heard that a million times, but I’m gonna tell you why you need that passion.
The reason for this passion is, you’re going to need to write content and a lot of it. It’s difficult to write about something that you’re not passionate about. Especially if you need to write tons of content, and if you want to earn from blogging you are going to need tons, trust me.
Producing one or two blog posts a week is not the hard part, although it’s not easy. You need to remember that writing and publishing content on a blog is the beginning not the end. Some bloggers will post to their blog and maybe a few social networks and call it a day. Then they wonder why they aren't getting any traffic or earning from their blog.
Once you post to your blog, you have to go out and market that post. In reality if you’re doing things right, you've been marketing that post for weeks before it was ever published. Marketing your blog and the individual posts takes time and more content.
You are going to be producing massive amounts of content on each social site, not to mention the comments you’ll receive on the post itself. So you see, you absolutely need to be passionate about your topic. If you are then it’s only a matter of time and effort that gets you to the prize.
