- 1 cup catsup or ketchup (low carb versions are available)
- 1 cup water
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar (or Splenda)
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Habanero mustard
- 1/4 to 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (depending on desired heat)
- In a saucepan, combine all ingredients. Heat to boiling.
- Reduce heat and simmer, stirring often, for 10 to 15 minutes or until thickened and reduced to about 2 cups.
