Do you want to cook delicious butternut squash soup that tastes homemade but only takes about ten minutes to make? It is also economical and easy to make. You and your loved ones will savor this tasty treat.
What you’ll need:
- 1 can of 18.8 oz. Campbell’s Home Style Butternut Squash Bisque (per person)
- 1 tablespoon of corn starch or flour per can of soup to no more than 3 tablespoons total
- Chopped-up fresh cilantro (if you want the soup to have a bit of a spicy kick) or chopped-up fresh parsley (for a milder taste)
- Medium- to large-size pot
- Large mixing spoon
For soup with a bit of a kick: Chop up fresh Cilantro to add to the soup when it is in simmering-mode.
For soup with a milder taste: Chop up fresh Parsley to add to the soup when it is in simmering-mode.
If you are only serving one person, add one tablespoon of corn starch to the soup. Otherwise, add two tablespoons.
Pour soup can contents into the pot.
Stir together the soup and corn starch until it is well blended together as it heats.
Hint: You might want to blend a small amount of the soup and baking soda together until well blended. Then, add this amount back into the pot before you begin heating it.
Bring soup to a boil. Stir periodically. Then, turn the heat down and simmer.
As the soup is simmering, add either the chopped Cilantro or chopped Parsley. Stir.
Add as much or as little of this herb as desired.
Allow the soup to simmer. Stir occasionally.
Pour soup into a bowl and serve. You might want to enjoy the soup with corn muffins or a sandwich.
