How to make Barbie a haunted house for Halloween: crafts

Halloween is coming up soon, and that means Halloween Barbie doll displays! One thing collectors like to do is display their dolls in seasonal settings, and what better setting for the various Halloween Barbies than a haunted house? This is one time when an empty cardboard box makes a perfect ramshackle doll display without a lot of work. This craft idea is so simple even a child or the least creative person can make a great Barbie haunted house for kids, grandkids or display.

How to Make a Haunted House from a Box

The easiest way to convert a box into a Barbie haunted house is to tape the top flap back, fold the bottom flap out as a floor, and leave the two side flaps open as part of the house. I kept the two box flaps open in my example -- one to represent an entry hall and one to represent a back door for the haunted house. I used inexpensive black felt for carpet and hung some black fabric I had on hand in the back for curtains to cover up the back of the box.
