How to Make Artichoke Lasagna: A Simple Recipe

This recipe makes for 8 people and the caloric value per serving is about 564. It takes about 45 minutest to prepare and it is fairly easy and great for dinner parties that will satisfy vegetarians and others alike.

Lasagna is still quite delicious as a left over and this recipe can stay in the fridge for up to a week and you can freeze it for a month or so.

Also if you prefer the lasagna sheets to taste a little crunchier than skip the steps of cooking the sheets, and just layer them raw.

Ingredients and Items Needed:

1 box with dried lasagna sheets

8 artichokes

4 tablespoons of olive oil

1 glass of dry white wine

2 ounces of grated Parmesan cheese

1 parsley leaf chopped

½ a liter of béchamel sauce (already cooked)

A pinch of salt

A pinch of pepper

Some butter (for the meal not to stick)

A pan

A saucepan

A rectangular Pyrex dish

A wooden spoon


  1. The first thing to do is to clean the artichokes, take out the leaves that are harder and eliminate the stems and tips
  2. Cut them in halves, take out the “beard” and divide them in thin wedges
  3. In a pan, heat the olive oil on medium high and add the artichoke wedges
  4. Add a pinch of salt and a pinch of pepper and mix well for about 2 minutes
  5. Slowly pour the white wine and cook for about 20 seconds
  6. At this point pre-heat the oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit
  7. Continue to cook and mix with a wooden spoon and about 5 minutes before completely done add the parsley
  8. Add butter in the Pyrex dish so nothing will stick
  9. In the meantime cook the lasagna sheets in a sauce pan according to box instructions
  10. Drain well and let it cool
  11. Add a béchamel sauce layer
  12. Then add on top a layer of the lasagna sheets
  13. Add the artichokes
  14. Again with the béchamel sauce
  15. Continue steps 10 through 13, layering the items, until all ingredients are gone
  16. Now add on top the grated Parmesan cheese
  17. Place in the oven for 25 minutes at 350 Fahrenheit
  18. Once it is done, let it cool for 5 minutes before serving
  19. Serve and Enjoy
