How to Make a Cake and Crème Caramel Medley: A Recipe

The recipe takes some time, about 25 minutes to prepare and a little less than an hour to bake, typically a Bundt pan will have between 8-10 servings.

The crème caramel that we are using here has a soft caramel top, except we are not using any additional syrups. And as far as the cake mix go, the best to use are either chocolate or yellow cake.

Ingredients and items needed:

Nonstick cooking spray

1 cup sugar

8 egg yolks (keep extra eggs aside if cake batter needs it)

1 can of condensed milk

1 can of evaporated milk

1 pre-made package of chocolate or yellow cake mix

Bundt pan

Medium Sauce Pan

2 Large bowls

Roasting pan

  1. First thing to do is to pre-heat the oven at 350
  2. Now spray the bundt pan with the nonstick cooking spray
  3. Add water to a roasting pan, about half and place it in the oven in the lowest rack (if it is easier remove the other racks from the oven)
  4. In a medium sauce pan add the sugar and heat on medium while stirring for about 4 minutes when the sugar will turn into caramel
  5. Now slowly and evenly pour the caramel in the Bundt pan
  6. At this point mix the egg yolks, the condensed milk and the evaporated milk in a large bowl until it comes out smooth
  7. Prepare the cake mix according to the directions on the packet (see if those extra eggs may be needed)
  8. Now pour the egg and condensed and evaporated milk mixture over the caramel that is in the Bundt pan
  9. Next slowly pour the cake batter on top
  10. Place the Bundt Pan in the oven (in the pan with water)
  11. Bake for 55 minutes
  12. Once it is done, take out the Bundt pan first and then the one with water
  13. Let it cool for a while, maybe about 15-20 minutes before inverting so it does not stick to the pan
  14. Serve and it stays good for about 5 days
