How to look good naked comes to an airport near you

There was a time when travelers were concerned about dressing properly for air travel, with increased security the concern became indifference and more casual wardrobe and flip flops became the attire de rigueur, now travelers are faced with being seen naked.

Air travelers passing through New York airports might feel a little more exposed, full body scanners debut today at Newark, soon at LaGuardia, already at JFK and eventually at every airport in New York, yes Long Islanders that means MacArthur airport too.

TSA uses two types of imaging technology, millimeter wave and backscatter, to create a computerized image of a person's body and give screeners the ability to check for weapons and other threats.

Both show details of the persons’ body, the difference is that millimeter wave is like those out of focus pictures we always take on important occasions. The backscatter, TSA claims is more like a chalk drawing, but on a closer look the body is clearly detailed and the face seems like a caricature.

Although  the narcissistic would probably prefer the out of focus picture, (some Photoshop should correct that) passengers have no choice as to the technology used, and posing is restricted to open legs/ hands up;  what passengers can do is, refuse to be photographed nude and request a detailed  pat down.

Either way, passengers’ bodies will be exposed to strangers, therefore as a frequent traveler, I recommend travelers should concern themselves with how to look naked instead of how to dress. Bikini waxing or laser hair removal might be a good start.
