How to keep busy while waiting for SimCity to work

This past Tuesday marked the release of the new SimCity, by Electronic Arts. One of the newest features of the game is that you have the be online to play the game. If any of you experienced the disaster that was Blizzards' Diablo 3 launch, then you already know where this is headed.

Since its release, the game and its players have experienced nothing but headaches. It has even gotten to the point where developers are disabling crucial game features to help alleviate some of the performance stress on the servers. So the question remains, how does turning off Cheetah speed help fix the problem?

If you're reading this then you probably can't log into the SimCity servers as well. So, to help take your mind off of things, here is a quick list of alternatives to occupy your time:

Go outside - if you love these kind of games, then chances are that you rarely see the sun (unless it's in-game). The sun is a good source of vitamin-D and you won't look so sickly to other people.

Play SimCity 4 - You can currently purchase SimCity 4 (2003) off of steam for $19.99. The great thing about this version: no DRM.

Watch people stream SimCity on Twitch Tv - If you can't play it, then live vicariously through another person! Although, don't be surprised if you become jealous or depressed that the person you're watching is probably one of the reasons why you can't log in.

Play Diablo 3 - At least you can play on their servers.
