How to identify a real Catholic, separating wolves from good shepherds

First, and foremost, baptism is a reality no opinion, including mine, can erase.

Yet, in a world so very hostile to the practice of authentic Catholicism, with spiritual charlatans and cafeteria chameleons, with Pro-abortion 'catholic' politicians, and pro-gay 'marriage' 'catholic' celebrities, with nuns who ride a bus aimed at running over the Pope's authority, with rogue bishops who seek to change the unchangeable in divorce and the reception of the Eucharist, with so very many 'catholic' voices--most of them denying the validity of sacramental confession, or the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, or Apostolic Teaching Authority--it is vital that we weed out the phonies with a very simple 'via negativa' strategy.

For only God knows the heart and mind of a person; therefore, only God knows who is heaven bound. Yet, as lost sheep, seeking to follow the only Good Shepherd, it is very important that we identify the wolves.

"The news about them reached the ears of the Church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to go to Antioch. When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to remain faithful to the Lord in firmness of heart..." Acts 11:19-26

First, and foremost, the real Catholic not only believes in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, but believes in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, perpetuated through God's Omnipotence in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist. Yes, real Catholics have their moments of doubt. How could they not? Real Catholics are finite creatures, imperfect in temptation, liable to sin--like all men and women. Real Catholics, moreover, are vulnerable to the skepticism, relativism, rationalism, and atheism of the world, to include proximate cafeteria impostors.

Real Catholics, moreover, have a real belief in the communion of the saints and the sad, yet dangerous, reality of the demonic spirits. Once again, doubt is inevitable in a world which has demythologized Catholic metaphysics, while embracing a New Age 'channeling' of spirits, and commercializes a love for a vague 'buffet' spirituality.

Real Catholics rely on the sacraments of Jesus, and His saints, while avoiding demons, and demonic ideologies; the wolves of false Catholicism, however, deny the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, disparage the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, distort its traditional practices, and embrace spiritualities unbeknownst to the Tradition of Christianity.

"His foundation upon the holy mountains the LORD loves: The gates of Zion, more than any dwelling of Jacob. Glorious things are said of you, O city of God!" Psalm 87:1-7

God has special plans for the Catholic Church.

'God so loved the world' that His Crucified and Risen Son, the Savior of the World, lives on in His Body and Bride, the Catholic Church. She does not live, however, solely for herself, but for Her Spouse and Savior, to be His arms and legs, seeking to save wayward humanity in the Love of His Heavenly Father.

The real Catholic, therefore, though wrestling at times with definitions, and meanings, and seeming contradictions, obeys wholeheartedly the teachings of Christ's Apostles. The real Catholic does not abort, nor do they use contraception, and if, in a fit of weakness, they ever did, they would run like the Prodigal Son, with his hair on fire, to the nearest confessional seeking God's every available, abundant, Mercy.

Chameleons, charlatans, and cafeteria wolves, however, fully endorse, finance, advocate for, and execute, abortions, euthanasia, gay 'marriages,' contraception and abortifacient sales and usage, and buck, blast, and bemoan every syllable which comes from the mouth of Jesus' Apostles, concerning faith and morals.

"My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me." John 10:22-30

Real Catholics, militant in their faith, countercultural in their compassionate philosophy, take their marching orders from the Teaching of the Church, from Sacred Scripture, from the Liturgy, from the lives of the saints, and from the promptings of the Holy Spirit, alive in their conscience, in conformity with genuine Catholic teaching.

The wolves of charlatanism, chameleon-ology, and cafeteria hedonism, however, take their marching orders from pop diva's and socialist-secularist politicians, from nuns who who know 'nun' about Jesus, from bishops too fat and comfy to die on the Cross for their Lord, from atheists and agnostics who whore slivers of Christianity for Christianity's downfall, and from the mouthpieces of the herd which runs off the cliff to the distorted, out of tune, symphony of the pied piper of lies, the devil.

In the end, many a Saul becomes a Paul, many a good thief redeems his place in heaven in genuine repentance, many a Mary of Magdalene sheds seven demons in the Love of Christ; so, much mystery must be admitted.

But, to finish with childlike faith, we must discern the 'signs of the times,' and the fruit born of the trees. And, as the silly, but true saying goes: 'if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, generally, its a duck.'

God bless. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.
