Why do people cheat on their lovers? Is it some default drive that Mother Nature installed to insure that the species is diverse? Why are some people serial cheaters while others are faithful until death does them part? There are a million studies that attempt to answer these questions, but none of that helps when you have the annoying feeling that your partner is the one doing the cheating.
How to Identify a Cheater
Some cheaters are desperate to get out of their relationships but don’t know how. Others simply are thrill seekers. Either way, there are usually tell-tale signs that your mate is cheating.
• Are there details of your mate’s story that just don’t add up?
• Is there a sudden feeling of disconnect with your lover? When she gives part of herself to her new flame, something is taken away from your relationship. This is where that gut feeling (that you just know something is wrong) originates.
• Have late nights at work suddenly become more frequent without a logical reason? A logical reason might be an annual project or a new position with more responsibility.
• When you inquire about his whereabouts, does he get defensive?
• Do you get the feeling that she always has a reason why you can’t go to social gatherings? Who is she hiding you from?
• Sexual frequency changes go along with the feeling of disconnect. There is only so much of him to go around, so to speak.
