How to ID a wedding dress from a picture

Recently I found a picture of a wedding dress that I have absolutely fallen in love with. I have seen the picture re-posted on Facebook a few time and even though I am personally not looking for a wedding dress there is just something about this one that I can't shake... it made me start thinking how exactly I could figure out who the designer of the dress was to figure out where I might even be able to get it from if and when it comes for me to purchase a dress or at least go to try it on. These are the steps that I found the most helpful for IDing the dress... I am hoping that they can not only help you with a dress that you love that you might have a picture to but no reference, but flowers, etc.

I did some searching and found a site that breaks it down for you.. These are the steps that they take and it works... I tried it.

1.Right click the image of the dress and select "Copy Image Location."

2. Go to http://images.google.com/

2. Click on the image of the camera in the search field.

3. Paste the image location into the box that pops up.

An alternate method is:

1.click on upload an image
2.Click on Browse
3. Upload the image from your files
4. Click on Search

The results will include all the sites that have used your image. The designer is usually one of the first results. Sometimes it does take a bit of detective work. You may find a reference to the dress on a blog which then takes you to another site where you will find the specifics you are looking for.Good luck in your search!

Another reminder that you can use this method for anything, centerpieces, you name it. Have fun.
