Back-to-school time can be both exciting and stressful for kids. Here is a list of ways kids can be sure to make this one a great school year from wikiHow:

  1. Make some good friends. Having a lot of acquaintances is fun, but having a small group of close friends makes a world of difference. Those are the friends that will get you through rough patches.
  2. Do your homework! When you keep up with your work, teachers are happy, and your parents are happy. Plus, you just might learn something.
  3. Study! When you don't study, classes become hard and confusing. Keep up with those studies!
  4. Take care of yourself. This includes hygiene, relaxing when you need it, getting enough sleep, and eating well.
  5. Don't challenge yourself if you don't think you can handle it. That will just create stress.
  6. Don't procrastinate! This just causes frustration.
  7. Get organized before and after school to avoid last minute scrambling for things.
  8. Be prepared! This includes having all the school supplies you need, staying on top of your assignments, etc.
  9. Think of how great it is to go to school...you get to be with your friends, learn, and make a better future!

Have a great school year!
