There's something you can do right now to have a better day today. Don’t settle for feeling bad about anything that really doesn't matter, like getting cut off in traffic or waiting in line at the grocery store. And make a choice to manage those issues and problems that do matter so that you're not constantly feeling stressed, frustrated, worried, angry, etc.

Emotional freedom techniques (EFT) or tapping is a great way to release the negative emotions that make it hard to enjoy life. Instead of getting overwhelmed with daily dramas and stresses, tap and release the negative emotions. You can even do quick morning tapping sessions to set a positive tone for your day.

Here's a tapping script you can in the mornings to start your day of right. Feel free to modify the script so that it addresses your personal and unique needs:

Even though I feel stressed and overwhelmed, I deeply and completely accept myself.

Even though I have so much to do today, I accept the way I feel.
Even though I have some worries about what’s ahead of me today, I’m going to expect the best.

Round 1

All this stress.
Sometimes it feels overwhelming.

I feel the stress and tension in my body (focus on where you feel it inyour body).
It feels uncomfortable.
So much to do today.

I’m not sure I can get it all done.

Or that I’ll do it all well.

All this stress and anxiety.


Round 2

I worry about so many things.

All this stress and anxiety.

I feel the tension in my body.
I can’t seem to calm my body or my mind.
So many things to do.

So many things that can go wrong.
This uncomfortable stress.
I don’t know what to expect today.


Round 3

This remaining stress.

This uncomfortable feeling in my body.

So much to do today.

I’m not sure I can get it all done.

Or that I’ll do it all well.
A part of me knows that I don’t have to worry so much.
But I have trouble letting it go.

This remaining stress.


Round 4

I don’t want to feel all this stress, anxiety and worry.
It’s safe to release it now.

I can trust myself to do my best.

I can let this tension go.

Letting all this stress and anxiety go.
I’m going to expect the best.

I'm ready to let go of all this stress.

Releasing all this stress.
