Do you have a picky eater who just won't touch vegetables?
Here are some ideas to help your little ones enjoy their greens.
Try frozen vegetables. For some reason, they don't taste as strong and can be more appealing to toddlers.
Another way to entice toddlers to try their vegetables is to display them as a picture on the plate. If your child likes eating fun-shaped nuggets such as dinosaurs, stand a couple of broccoli florets up like trees. Smiley faces are another winner and are easy to make on a plate. Don't be afraid to get creative - kids love it!
Get your children involved in the preparation of meals in whatever way you can. Even if your little one just sits and bangs on pots and pans with a spoon, they are still in the kitchen with you. Obviously, keep them at a safe distance from sharp and hot kitchen equipment!
Farmers' markets are a fantastic tool for introducing your child to vegetables. Your little one is able to touch and smell the produce and see where their food comes from. The younger your child is introduced to this process, the less picky they will be in their future.

Also try dousing the food in a sauce that your child loves - it's not ideal in the long term but might help to get the right nutrients into the diet and the volume of sauce can always be reduced over time...
