Brooke O'Orsay (“Royal Pains,” “Drop Dead Diva,” "June in January") and Eric Mabius ("Signed Sealed and Delivered,"“Ugly Betty”) star as a couple whose friendship turns into love. Kathy Najimy (“Sister Act,” “King of the Hill”) co-stars.

Harold White (Eric Mabius) is an accountant who is still suffering from the ugly-duckling syndrome that branded his youth. He high school homecoming, when he invited the prettiest girl in school, Annie Hayes (Brooke D'Orsay) and she ignored him to dance with another boy.

As an adult, Harold is much better looking, but he is still awkward and shy. He considers hiring a dating coach to help him overcome his wallflower approach to romance.

Harold's clients invite him to a party where he once again meets Annie, who barely remembers him. Annie is still pretty, but she is now an unemployed event planner who is overstaying her welcome at her sister's house.

Annie learns that Harold wants a datng coach and proposes herself for the job. They reach an agreement and Annie starts working on his dating skills, bootcamp style. She makes him exercise, wear contacts instead of glasses and coaches him on his social and conversation skills.

Annie has a day-job as a waitress and she recruits her friend and co-worker, Kim (Najimy) to be Harold's practice date. Harold works up the courage to approach Julie (Gina Holden) and they start dating.

Annie draws Harold out of his shell and teaches him to win over a new love interest with the help of their shared passion for classic love songs. Annie also learns that Harold has a passion for photography.

As it happens, Julie is looking for an event planner and Harold recommends Annie, who is delighted. Annie asks Harold to contribute his photographs to enhance the success of the event.

It becomes clear that sparks are flying between Harold and Annie, but if they are going to move toward a romantic relationship they need to make up for past mistakes.
