How to enjoy a holiday party while nursing a new baby

'Tis the season to party. But how can you enjoy an "adult's only" soiree when you're still nursing your babe every two hours (or more!)? Take the baby with you! Yes, it's a bold move, and some may cast a peeved glance in your direction, but most will simply envy your courage. Here are some tips for ensuring you, your baby and the rest of the party-goers enjoy your baby's presence.

Make your baby your best accessory

Snuggled up in a sling, your baby will be content, you can nurse discretely, and with any luck baby will sleep and you'll be able to enjoy the party almost as if baby wasn't there. In fact, you'll enjoy it more because you won't be worried about your precious little one! This gorgeous red silk Taylormade Sling is so festive you won't have to worry about what to wear.

Speaking of what to wear

With baby in a sling, you don't have to worry too much about what you're wearing underneath. Black tuxedo pants and a nursing friendly black top will fit the bill. Or go ahead and invest in a "little black dress" with nursing access. This sexy black Flamenco dress from Mothers en Vogue is pretty enough to wear even if you're not nursing!

The most important thing to remember is to relax. You can always leave it if it doesn't work out. But chances are your wee one will be so content to be snuggled up with his milk that he'll sleep through all the fun. And the two of you will be the hit of the party!
