As you may see all around the DC Metro, Maryland and Virginia areas, all kinds of Farmers Markets and Veggie Stands are popping up all over the city. It is wonderful to see all the fresh produce and fruit grown from gardens right in your very own neighborhood!
Community gardens are visible in local neighborhoods, and church yards, both growing and teaching area residents how to tend their own gardens.
For example, each weekend, Eastern Market hosts an open-air food market of farmers and food vendors! You can take a stroll down the Farmers' Line and you will find stall after stall of some of the freshest food available in Washington, DC. Then take a stroll outside and see farmers and other outdoor vendors who provide shoppers with quick and delicious snacks that enhance the Eastern Market experience!
