One of the most difficult things about exercising as much as you should, is trying to fit it into your busy lifestyle. Juggling work, kids, a spouse, and relaxation is hard enough. Trying to squeeze a quality workout into that busy schedule and staying motivated to continue is sometimes overwhelming. If you can relate to this scenario, circuit training workouts are perfect for you.
The perfect workout to fit into a busy lifestyle are circuit training workouts. One where you can get the weight training and cardio in the same workout, and get it done in just 30 minutes per day. The difference with this program is, you work on 2 body parts per day, in a way that the one body part is resting, while you are working the other. That way you don't need to rest between sets. Doing the workout this way makes it a cardio and a weight training workout combined, because of no rest between exercises you get a good circuit training workout. You will get your heart rate into the cardio zone, and keeps it there for the whole 30 minutes.
Monday, pick an exercise to work the chest and one to work the back. Do the chest exercise, then go immediately to the back exercise. Back to the chest and so on. Complete 10 sets of each exercise and your done. Check your heart rate a few times during the workout to make sure you are working hard enough for a cardio workout.
Tuesday, pick one exercise for the legs, and one for your upper abs. Do the same way as Monday and the same 10 sets each.
Wednesday, pick an exercise for the biceps, and one for the triceps. Do 10 sets each.
Thursday, pick one exercise for your calves, and one for your shoulders. Do 10 sets each.
Friday, pick one exercise for lower abs, and one for a body part you need more work on.
You have done a full body workout, and 5 cardio sessions for an effective circuit training workout.
Take Saturday and Sunday to spend with your family, do some fun cardio like disc golf or a family bike ride. You can have more time for the other things you want to do and still get a full body workout with this circuit training workout.
