How to check for flight delays at LAX, Burbank, and Ontario, CA airports

See also

Travelers worried about delays due to Midwest and east coast storms or those picking up passengers flying into LAX, Burbank's Bob Hope Airport, and Ontario, CA airports can go online and check overall flight information.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

Log on to Airport-LA.com to see Arrival and Departure times in two-hour blocks of time. The time slots are in the left hand margin and shows the airline, flight number, city where it departed, scheduled time, and actual arrival time. The table also shows the terminal, gate number, and flight status including if it's cancelled.

Additional information includes a terminal map and parking.

Burbank's Bob Hope Airport

Information for Burbank is available on Flightview.com's Burbank page. The layout is different with tabs across the top of the page for arrivals, departures, airport delay, weather, parking, and limos.

Ontario or LA/Ontario International Airport

Information for the airport serving southern California's Inland Empire is accessible through Flightview.com and Flightstats.com's Ontario page.

The layout is similar to Flightview with tabs across the top of the page. Under the delays tab there is a heading "Ground Delay Affecting ONT." An icon of a plane shows the affected flights.

Chicago's O'Hare Airport

O'Hare's delays are also available through Flightstats.com. An index on Jan. 3, 2014 showed "excessive delays."

The homepage for Flightstats.com shows a map of the U.S. with flight delay information. Flightstats was awarded Best Mobile App by Business Traveler Awards.

While it's normal to check specific airlines, in terms of widespread heavy storms, it may be easier to check specific airports using an online reporting tool.
