Today’s free gardening ebook is “The How to Book on Building a Raised Garden Bed: Growing Luscious Vegetables, Fruits & Vibrant Flowers/The Thriving Soil System” by Jonah Green. It covers how to build a raised bed frame, the various materials you can use, and the best way to lay out and orient them. A large section of the book is devoted to building the soil- the author is very strong on soil being the key to growing a good garden. He lists common vegetables by how deep each needs the bed to be- something I don’t often see in books about raised bed gardening. Tips on weeding and watering are included. The book is a short but solid primer on the subject, and is properly formatted.
