The White House already have Americans on edge over a government shutdown. The Senate is set to meet up again on Monday to get the budget bill resolved, according to NBC News reports on Sept. 30. American government workers will have to face the possibility of how they will feed their families due to paycheck delays.
The armed forces may not receive their mid- October paychecks – retroactive pay, although not guaranteed, will be delayed if the federal government is voted to shut down – hence, families are taking steps to shave their expenses in order to reserve funding for groceries.
Non - essentials like cable, internet and trading in those gas guzzling vehicles are likely to be compromised in consumer household spending for a while, according federal workers for US News.
Also, local food pantries and soup kitchens should expect a rise in assistance – the government spending expires at midnight tonight -- if no resolution is reached.
Has the possibility of a federal government shut down impacted you or someone you know as battle rages in the hallowed halls of Congress?
