Piers Morgan had the newest Obama apologist, Rep Frank Pallone, on his show last night and to the viewer's surprise, he was tough on Pallone to the point of outright scoffing him. Pallone spent his entire on air time calling the policies that people owned prior to Obamacare, scams and that Obamacare is the only true healthcare insurance. It covers free contraceptives and maternity benefits for every 50 year old man in the country....at a price.
Morgan went right after Pallone:
“When the president repeatedly stood up and told the American people, if you want to keep your doctor or your plan, you can do that, with no qualifications to it, none of this, ‘If it’s not quite good enough and it gets changed,’ but just boldly telling people, if you want to keep your doctor or your plan you can. That was just a lie, wasn’t it? A complete and utter falsehood.”
Pallone said that people could retain their policies if their carrier continued to offer them. What he left out was the fact that in order to keep the same policies, insurance companies could never raise their rates.A 2 dollar a month increase wipes out the grandfather clause.
As Pallone continued his diatribe and calling all insurance policies scams, Morgan cut him off and demanded to know, “So why didn’t the president just say that? Why didn’t he just say rather than making this bold promise to sell his plan, why didn’t he just be honest?”
Pallone started to filibuster again and Morgan treated his remarks with derision. Morgan gave Rep Blackburn the last word, which Pallone kept interrupting.
Morgan closed the segment, saying, “We’ll continue this debate, I’m sure, as the excuses get ever more ludicrous.”
First Chris Matthews, now Piers Morgan, will Rachel Maddow be next? Nah.
