Surprisingly enough tons of people do not know how often they should exercise. There is a myth that exists were most believe that longer hours at the gym means you’re a step ahead everyone else. This just simply is not true. Exercising too hard or too often can cause injuries.

Health experts advise that 30 minutes of physical activity a day is great for all adults. Meeting the 30- minute threshold will help a person maintain a healthy weight and recap health benefits like lowering the risk of heart disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, and hypertension (WebMD). Interval training may be best for someone transitioning into working out daily. If you want to work out longer and cut down on days be sure to give yourself a rest day.

Overall, a workout routine should be favorable with your fitness level and goals. Don’t try to overwork yourself, but only do what you can handle. Working out is a marathon not a sprint and results will appear with consistency. The main goal for anyone working out is to simply stay active and healthy.
