How I Met Your Mother continued Monday night with "The Drunk Train" on CBS 2 in Queens at 8 p.m., and Barney finally met his match in Quinn when he joined Ted on a double date, but little did he know her real identity.
Barney met Quinn when Ted talked him into joining him as his wingman on a date, but she wasn't as gullible as the other women in his life. She told him he had no chance. She had been pretty good at reading him and had even shaken him to the point where he couldn't remember "Legen-dary." It was strange to see Barney so shaken, but this is going to make for a good storyline.
After hearing about the drunk train from Lily and Marshall, Barney dragged Ted on it and it didn't go well at all—until they realized they needed to be drunk. However, even then they didn't get out of the train what they should've, especially once Ted realized Barney slept with Quinn…and liked her. She had thrown him off his game, and he was even turning down girls in the cab.
It was the final scene that revealed Quinn's real identity. She's a stripper, Karma, at the club Barney frequents. Why didn't he recognize her? How is this going to play out? This was a brilliant twist on How I Met Your Mother's part, but the question does remain: Where do they go from here?
Kevin proposed to Robin on their Valentine's weekend getaway, and even though he kept proposing even after she told him she can't—and doesn't want—kids, he did eventually un-propose after she forced him to think hard about what that meant for his future. Since spoilers for an upcoming episode already revealed that they had broken up, this wasn't much of a surprise—nor was Ted's confession of love on the roof at the end since that was part of the same spoilers.
The truth about Robin unable to have kids was slowly coming out last night, and it was about time. Though she may not want kids, it was a rough point in her life when she realized she'd never have the option (her talking to her future kids she'd never have was heartbreaking), but she did avoid the awkward talk from her friends since she waited to tell them.
Meanwhile, Marshall and Lily insisted that the way to keep a relationship going was to not keep score, but they obviously did just that—and did that in the future when deciding who would take care of their baby in the middle of the night. This offered a quick look at what they're like as parents, and that was one of the highlights of the episode since those days are getting closer and closer.
