‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9 spoilers: Cobie Smulders on 200th episode

Cobie Smulders is really, really excited about the 200th episode of “How I Met Your Mother.” In a Jan. 23 report on Matt Carter, Smulders shares spoilers from that episode which are included here so read on at your own risk.

The episode is set to air next Monday night and will reportedly tie up a lot of loose ends from earlier in the series. Here is what Smulders had to say about the 200th episode:

“I’m really excited for — I like to call it the Cristin Milioti episode — the 200th episode [airing next week], just because, first of all, I think Cristin is amazing, and we have not used her enough on the show. But at the same time, there are all of these things, all these questions that are answered within that episode. There are some really interesting tie-ins to previous seasons and previous moments where maybe in another episode, like, ‘Oh, she left her umbrella at the club.’ Like, we get to see a flip side of what happened to that umbrella and follow that.”

So what we can glean from this little scoop is this. The episode is going to cover a great deal of time from the “mother’s” life. Hopefully the show writers will be able to fit in answers to all the things fans have been waiting to see resolved. At least we know the issue of the yellow umbrella is going to be addressed at least partially. We also know that Rachel Bilson will be returning in the role of Cindy.

What are you hoping to see addressed in the 200th episode of “How I met Your Mother”? The episode will air Monday, Jan. 27.
