"How I Met Your Mother is preparing to film the final episode of the series, and now the cast has sat down together to read the final script. On Feb. 15, Spoiler TV shared the tweets made by the cast and crew as they read the script for the finale together for the first time. Josh Radnor and Alyson Hannigan both spoke about the table reading.

Both stars revealed that they cried during the reading of the final script. Hannigan shared a photo of her script with a number of tissues resting beside it. Neil Patrick Harrison also shared his own thoughts about the finale script. He said the following:

Just finished the initial read thru of the final How I Met Your Mother. Ever. Holy moly. Just... holy dang moly.

Craig Thomas, one of the men behind the series, said that cast was 'amazing' during the script reading. He finished the script completely just last weekend. Production on the finale should continue in the days ahead, and those involved in the process will likely keep fans of the series updated as things progress. Carter Bays and Craig Thomas have both been upfront about the production of the final season on their social media accounts.
