If you are anything like the millions of Americans out there who love their sweets then you know what a good “blondie” tastes like! You know, the chewy, gooey and moist bar that has a nice caramel flavor and is chocked full of nuts and chocolate chips?? What would you give me for sharing my favorite blondie recipe?? Well, here you go!
Ingredients:
- 1 and ½ cups AP Flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. kosher salt
- 12 TBSP unsalted butter melted and cooled
- 1 and ½ cups light brown sugar (tightly packed)
- 2 large eggs
- 4 tsp. vanilla extract
- ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup white chocolate chips
- 1-cup pecans that have been toasted and chopped (cool them before mixing into the batter)
Directions:
- Heat oven to 350 and line a 9x13 pan with foil. Grease the foil and set aside.
- Melt the butter in a large glass bowl and once it has cooled add the eggs, brown sugar and vanilla and whisk madly.
- In a medium bowl whisk the flour, salt and baking powder. Add this mixture to the butter mixture and stir to just combine. Stir the nuts and chips in next.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes. Allow to cool completely (2 hours) before cutting. Enjoy at room temperature.
