How does one make the best blondies ever?!

If you are anything like the millions of Americans out there who love their sweets then you know what a good “blondie” tastes like!  You know, the chewy, gooey and moist bar that has a nice caramel flavor and is chocked full of nuts and chocolate chips??  What would you give me for sharing my favorite blondie recipe??  Well, here you go!

Ingredients:

  • 1 and ½ cups AP Flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. kosher salt
  • 12 TBSP unsalted butter melted and cooled
  • 1 and ½ cups light brown sugar (tightly packed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips
  • 1-cup pecans that have been toasted and chopped (cool them before mixing into the batter)

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350 and line a 9x13 pan with foil.  Grease the foil and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a large glass bowl and once it has cooled add the eggs, brown sugar and vanilla and whisk madly.
  3. In a medium bowl whisk the flour, salt and baking powder.  Add this mixture to the butter mixture and stir to just combine.  Stir the nuts and chips in next.
  4. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes.  Allow to cool completely (2 hours) before cutting.  Enjoy at room temperature.
