How Danica Patrick works out

Danica Patrick is a 5’ 2” 100 pound racecar driver. Born in Beloit Wisconsin, she now lives in Phoenix with her husband. She’s had a career racing Indy cars for several years, and is now ready to start a Nascar career as well. She has also done modeling for several magazines such as Sports Illustrated, FHM, and Shape, as well as being a spokes person for got milk campaign. For racing and modeling, Danica Patrick has to work hard to maintain her strength and looks.

Danica Patrick works out almost every day. Her workout consists of at least 1 hour of running, and weight training after the run. Her weight training focuses on upper body and back training to stay in shape for the driving. Danica Patrick says because of her size, she has to work hard to stay strong and keep up her stamina for the long hours of racing. She skips a day occasionally to let her body rest, and changes her workout routine regularly to not get bored. She also uses yoga and pilates to stay flexible, and maintain her core muscles.

The diet she lives by is a high protein diet with lots of complex carbs. She says she eats about every 3 hours to keep up her protein and maintain muscle. She was asked if she could eat only one food for the rest of her life, what would she pick? She said she would pick eggs because there are so many ways to cook them.

Danica Patrick is going to race in Nascar and Indy car; She just signed a contract to race for JR Motorsports team. Her first Nascar race will be on Feb 6 at Daytona. She also recently resigned a 3-year contract with her Indy car team. Her schedule will allow her race both for a while.
