Infidelity increases during the summer months. It’s easier for cheating husbands and cheating boyfriends to initiate a summer fling or cover up a short-term love affair during this season of the year.
A cheating spouse who is already involved in an extramarital affair will find it easier during the summer to steal large blocks of time to spend with his mistress, and his wife will never know.
Some of the tactics these cheating men use to hide their summer flings are described below.
Sending the Wife (and Kids) Away
Some husbands routinely send their wife and kids to the shore, the lake, the mountains, the country, or to visit relatives in another state. Or a cheating husband or boyfriend may treat his wife or girlfriend to a trip he knows she can’t resist (a Caribbean cruise, a week at a world-class spa or fancy resort) to pave the way for “summer play.” Not only has he cleverly and conveniently removed you from the scene, he gets points for being a generous and thoughtful mate. Once you’re safely out of the way, he can have his summer fling.
The Separate Vacation Scheme
If your spouse or significant other suddenly suggests that the two of you take separate vacations this year, this could be a warning sign. Especially if he’s a little too insistent about getting away from you and the kids. If he keeps harping about how he needs “space” this summer so he can do his own thing, try to find out where he wants to go. The separate vacation scheme is a common ploy summer cheaters use to lay the groundwork for a summer fling. What is it that he wants to do that doesn’t include you? If he’s lobbying a little too hard for time alone, you might want to re-think your summer plans.
Counterfeit Conventions and Bogus Business Trips
Business travel is often used to camouflage a cheating husband’s summer fling. If he travels frequently for business, he can easily invent a counterfeit convention or a bogus business trip. But even a legitimate trip can provide a cover story for a cheating boyfriend or husband who wants to have a summer fling. All he has to do is tack on a few extra days to allow for fun and games. See Business travel and infidelity - how cheating men use business travel to hide their affairs
Fake Fishing Trips and Other Outdoor Adventures
A cheating husband or cheating boyfriend will often disguise a weekend trip with his summer fling as some type of male-bonding trip with other guys – like deep-sea fishing, rock-climbing, white-water rafting or a similar activity. He knows that if he misrepresents a tryst with his mistress as being a guys-only rugged outdoor adventure, or extreme sports trip with no women allowed, you won’t ask to tag along. It’s up to you to determine whether he’s really hiking the Appalachian Trail with his buddies, or sailing the seas with his summer fling.
Tips on How to Spot the Signs of a Summer Fling
Not every man who travels, sends his family to the shore, or treats his girlfriend to a dream vacation is setting the stage for a summer affair. But these are the tactics cheating husbands and cheating boyfriends commonly use to hide a summer fling.
To avoid being a victim of summer infidelity, women should put a few checks and balances in place, and familiarize themselves with the signs of a summer fling. Comments
I hope this article is supposed to be humorous. Because it was. It sounds like it was written by a woman who has been cheated on a million times. The question is why was she cheated on so much? I'm guessing she runs all her men into the ground. This article sucked.
So I guess the message here is that either wives/girlfriends don't cheat, or that only wives/girlfriends need an article to tell them that a business trip may be a cover for an affair. Kind of insults both genders.
I loved the two previous comments...they are so true. Holy bitter bat, man. The woman writing this article is obviously a man hater/eater. Helllooooo! the nineteen fifties called and they want their morals back!! women cheat, too, you know. woman also have sketchy "business trips".And lusty vacations. I sure did not get into this marriage just so that I could spend every minute worrying about whether my husband cheated on me. LAME! This article was an epic fail for all sexes and genders.
