Basic Goodness Series How Can I Help?
The Basic Goodness of Society January 22 - February 26, 2013 Tuesdays, 7:00pm - 9:00pm
How Can I Help? The Basic Goodness of Society is the second of three courses that comprise the new Basic Goodness Series. This 6-week course explores our relationships with others, what it might mean to help our world, and specific aspects of social transformation.
We look at a Shambhala understanding of society and what enlightened society may be. Is society something that is ultimately confused, or is there goodness in human society? "In particular in this course on the Basic Goodness of Society we’ll explore four aspects of society.
The first is our homes and our households. The second has to do with our relationships with the workplace and our professional life and our careers. The third has to do with our relationship with entertainment and the constant barrage of entertainment and information that surround us. And the fourth has to do with economy, whether we feel a natural sense of richness or do we feel we have to constantly work and exhaust ourself in order to have security."
