Adam Lanza did not own a gun, he never went buying one nor he had a gun permit, neither he had to undergo background check. Nonetheless he was able to make a massacre using a Bushmaster Assault rifle.
So if he had no guns, how in the world he could had access to a Bushmaster assault rifle?
Very simple: His mother gave him the guns and taught him how to shoot.
His mother? Yes his mother. So the Adam Lanza case showed us that all the gun-control laws, the background check, the gun permit and all the other existing measures, can nothing against a loving mother who gives his disturbed son an assault rifle and teach him how to shoot.
So where exactly this leads us to? To the simple fact that Adam Lanza was able to perpetrate a massacre just because he had the chance of being in a place like his own home where he had guns all over the places at his own disposal. Simply because his loving mother was a survivalist who believed the end of the world was near and she needed assault weapons to fight the future home invaders.
So what kind of law should we pass in order to avoid another Sandy Hook slaughter to happen?
A law that does not allow guns to be at disposal of people who are not supposed to use them and as you cannot prevent gun-owners from having brothers, sons, nephews, friends etc. there's no other way to prevent another slaughter to happen than to withdraw assault weapons from the market.
In practice only the law enforcement or the military can have access to assault weapons and only while on duty. I am sorry for Alex Jones but he will have to surrender to the possibility of an American dictatorship so he will have to give up all of his assault weapons or start a war against the government.
Average people cannot have access to such weapons because recent history showed us that it's absolutely impossible to control not just the gun-owners but their relatives and their friends.
It's impossible.
History showed us that once on the market these weapons will be used in the wrong way whatever the good intentions of the buyer could be.
The only possible solution is that assault weapons have to be withdrawn from the market unless we want fifteen thousand Americans being killed by assault weapons each year. And counting.
