Ravioli is good on any day. However, here is a day to celebrate ravioli.
Ravioli is a dish made of layers of egg pasta stuffed with cheese, meat or veggies and covered with sauce.
Most people think of ravioli as an Italian-filled pasta with a sauce on top, or served in a broth as the main dish for a meal. However, toasted ravioli, or breaded deep-fried ravioli can also be an appetizer.
Chef Boyardee makes canned ravioli served in a tomato-cheese sauce. This is a quick meal when you are in a hurry. Children and adults love ravioli for a hot lunch. They don't have to know the delicious ravioli came out of a can.
If you have time, you can try an easy cheese ravioli with pesto. If you choose to go out to dinner, check out your local Italian restaurants. Many of them offer special deals on March 20 to celebrate National Ravioli Day.
